Ad and Auction Policy

If you have a scrapbook related business you wish to advertise on the newsgroup, you may post an AD for it on the first Monday of each month. You must begin the subject of your advertisement message with AD to give people the opportunity to choose not to open the message if they so choose. This rule also applies to auction listings. If you do not have any current auctions active on the first Monday of the month, you may post a message to remind members that you are an active seller on auction sites. You may then include a link that members can bookmark for future reference.

You are welcome to use your signature line to advertise your website or auction listings page during the rest of the month. Please remember to use good taste in your signature line ads. If it tends to boost the kb of your message, people will most likely skip over it anyway and you will lose out on the benefit of having a signature.

Advertisement messages posted on days other than the first Monday of the month will be deleted from the server and the poster will be reminded of the ad policy. If the poster continues after that to ignore the policy, they will be reported as a Spammer, asked to leave the group and, if necessary, banned from the Scrapbook.Oz newsgroup.
